Hemisphere 140 Raffaella II- Largest yacht ever built in South America is launched

On Friday, July 5 MCP Yachts hull number 085 Raffaella II was launched after 2.5 years of construction and more than 150 direct professionals involved.

The aluminum yacht is extremely lightweight and operation with the shipyard’s 150 ton travelift only took a few minutes to be completed.

In the upcoming weeks Hemisphere 140 will undergo sea trials and small finishing details before being delivered to her Brazilian owner.

This 43 meters design was developed by the Shipyards in-house staff in collaboration with Vripack to produce a hull with exceptional trasoceanic performance. This semidisplacement oceangoing aluminum superyacht comply with Lloyd’s requirements and, thanks to her twin Caterpillar C32 1825 BHP engines will be able to reach a top speed of 19 knots. Under cruising speeds she will have a capability range of 4,000 nautical miles necessary to make oceanic crossings, in any weather and sea conditions.

Raffaella II is the largest yacht ever built in Brazil representing an achievement in the country shipbuilding history. She comes with a iluminated glass spiral staircase binding the main to the upper deck, sauna, jacuzzi and generous walk-around exterior decks which connects a number of different lounges, seating and dining areas ideal for relaxing and entertaining.
