MCP Yachts and Vripack Unveil Their Latest Project

MY Hygge represents a new generation of transoceanic aluminum superyachts developed by MCP YACHTS. At 40.9 meters in length and built entirely in aluminum, the yacht combines efficiency, range, comfort, and customization in a concept designed to meet the highest standards of international yachting.
Developed in partnership with the renowned Dutch design studio Vripack, Hygge is the result of a perfect synergy between her owners' vision and the expertise of our engineering, naval architecture, and construction teams. Every detail was conceived to provide extended periods on board with exceptional safety, comfort, and operational independence.
Designed for ocean crossings and long-range cruising, the superyacht features a high-performance semi-displacement hull powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, each delivering 1,925 MHP. Oil-bath enclosed shaft lines ensure remarkably quiet and smooth operation, while a top speed of 19 knots is complemented by a cruising range of up to 3,500 nautical miles at approximately 10 knots, with fuel consumption of just 150 liters per hour. The result is a versatile and efficient yacht designed to deliver comfort, stability, and safety at all speeds.
The interior and exterior spaces have been carefully designed to accommodate family life on board with elegance and sophistication. The yacht offers seven staterooms, including an impressive owner's suite located on the upper deck, commanding panoramic sea views. Generous social areas provide the ideal setting for both private enjoyment and entertaining guests, reflecting MCP YACHTS' commitment to creating truly bespoke yachts.
The excellence of the project received international recognition in 2025, when the jury of the World Superyacht Awards—the most prestigious award in the global superyacht industry—selected MY Hygge among the four finest superyacht builds of the year in her category.
This distinction highlights not only the technical and construction quality of the project but also MCP YACHTS' ability to deliver yachts that combine innovation, performance, and sophistication at an international level, further strengthening our position among the leading names in the world of premium superyacht construction.
Exterior
The level of privacy on board is a major distinguishing feature of this project. All the rooms are accessed and served by the crew via independent staircases and corridors. "Providing maximum use of space on this 40-meter yacht required a differentiated approach through innovative solutions and ideas that kept our team motivated throughout the creative process," says
Bart Bouwhuis, creative director at Vripack. "A very energetic co-creation process between the Owner, MCP, and the Vripack team, which led to a clever, innovative, and unconventional layout, which in the end proved to be perfectly sensible and functional. A great achievement for all of us."
Interior

Six VIP rooms with wide sea views are located on the lower and upper decks, guaranteeing privacy for the family and their guests through a revolutionary layout, where service accesses for the crew are discreet and separated from the social areas.
A lounge on the upper deck, called the Sky Lounge, is a spectacle, where the view of the sea has been privileged by large windows thrown out of the yacht's superstructure, projecting the spectator to a unique and privileged vantage point.
A 40M yacht that prioritizes comfort through ample leisure and social spaces and offers the most beautiful views of the sea, Seaview motivates our team by revolutionizing the superyacht market in Brazil and worldwide.
"A modern and timeless design, which conveys the elegance and greatness of a genuine MCP Yachts transoceanic yacht; and which both allows audacious voyages to the most remote points of the planet, promoting unparalleled comfort on relaxing family cruises along the coast." –
Damien Chaves, CEO MCP Yachts.
